Having used CK torches when employed in the motor racing industry, it was a natural choice when I decided to go self employed.

Great to use, the lower weight gives greater control and comfort reducing fatigue whilst welding. Top quality as expected from CK and recommended to anyone who finds a standard size torch cumbersome

Luurvely. If you're frustrated by the bulk of the #26 torches, get one of these. Its like having a soldering iron in your hand. I guess it might be nice if this torch came with a short/flat back-cap as tight spaces are one of its fortes, but again I'm really nit-picking and the short back-caps are so cheap I can't justify taking a star off for that.

I?m just learning to TIG *** and mainly do 1.6 to 3mm aluminium. This torch is much easier to handle than the size 26 torch I got with the ***er, so I would recommend it to anyone doing smaller/more delicate work. You will need a foot pedal to get the most out of it, as it has no hand controls and adding a switch would make it bulkier and ** to handle. I think the quality is fine.

I'm new to TIG welding, and found the 26 torch a little unwieldy. This torch has negligable weight and is great to use.

I?m a welder by trade but this tig torch was purchased for hobby use, restoring motorcycles. It?s perfect for this application, ie small repairs and fabrication, not recommended for high amperage extended use. That?s what watercooled torches are for. The CK torch is excellent quality, small and light. My only criticism would be the hose isn?t as flexible as the more expensive weldtec products, but no complaints at this price point.

Really comfortable to use with the flexible hose and light torch. Makes all welds easier, especially trickier out-of-position ones.

This is an excellent quality torch, I'm currently using it with a gas lens and a stubby shroud to make it even smaller and lighter. Very useful for thinner gauge work, and when comparing with a *** torch it's night and day, but this will depend on your requirements and the amperage rating of the torch should be taken into account! One thing to note, if you're going to get this to use with the R-Tech TIG machines you do need an adapter ***
