R-Tech Auto Darkening Speedmaster II V2 True Colour Welding Helmet

I am a retiree who takes on certain projects I am just coming to the end of building myself a trailor and I would recomend the helmet I used which came from your company to anyone the quality was excelent

For the price this welding helmet is amazing. Such a clear view. With all my previous welding helmets I have had to use bright lights to see what i was doing clearly. But not with this one. Half the price of my old helmet, yet ten times better.

Not great at all. Missing lock washer causes knob to fall off. Awkward to adjust well and not very comfortable. Small aperture. I wouldn’t say this was worth the money.

I use this product for making prototype products and would recommend for anyone whose vision requires a good clear view while welding. I did buy an entry level helmet because I ultimately want an air-fed unit but I am unsure if the True Colour technology will help. I can then determine which type of air-fed mask will be most suitable.

Ordered a welding mask, the quality was very good, it is light to wear and much better than the old one I was replacing. Very happy with this product.

It wasn't until I used this helmet that I realised how basic my old "Aldi Special" was.... Much clearer vision, better reaction time & the "Grind" function is really useful,

So far so good, the work is completed with it I had some flickering with auto darkening, havnt had time to tinker with settings. Pleased somewhat so far.

As already said the helmet when switched on darkens and doesn't go light unless switched off and on many times. I think it is faulty and will contact R-Tech to check. Disappointed.

Used for tig welding Reccomendefd for Any welder Fine quality, in fit, opening and closing, is comfortable to wear, and works very well in visibility and shading. Looks good too, with a smart colour. I cannot comment more on for example, misting up due to breath condensation as have not used extensively yet, but not immediately apparent.

Used the helmet repairing my case backhoe machine it was comfortable to wear and good view of work when welding

Good visibility - it has a yellow tint r rather than my previous helmet's green tint and this is making it a lot easier to see what I'm doing both when setting up and during welds. Controls are straight forward, headband is comfortable and secure, it's decent quality and or does it's job well.

The helmet is light and comfortable and with care I don't see why it shouldn't last. The automatic darkening works well . The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that there is no low battery warning so I can forsee changing the batteries more often than suggested just to be on the safe side.

I have one of the earlier Speedmaster helmets, and although it feels a little 'cheap' and looks a little 'cheap' it still performs vary well, even after 8 years or so (!!). The Speedmaster II looks the same as the old one but with the controls on the outside of the shell instead of on the removable 'darkening trickery thing' as on the old version. The see-through bit is a little smaller but suffers less internal reflection. I have to keep my overhead lights on for safety reasons and this can sometimes reflect off the internal lens when bent over the work-piece. The smaller aperture is still large enough to see clearly the work-piece and anything that may be a concern on the periphery.

I am a beginner with Mig but have experience of oxy/acet. Was soon producing good weld beads . Will be using on car body work, not business but personal usage. Limited use so far but good quality and I hope to get many years of use. The manual is rather sparse and vague in parts. I am really pleased with the machine and service. Thank you

Bought for mechanic friend who's starting out with a new MIG welder, impressed so far. Ample shade variation, the grind mode fixed shade looks good. Very light so should be good to wear for a prolonged **. If I have a criticism it's that it's a bit fiddly changing the internal 'lens' (plastic protector for the autodarkening filter as the corner slots are needlessly small. But otherwise, very happy. Be interesting to see how long it lasts but expect good things. He certainly seems to like it.

Really nice featherweight mask. Works a treat and comes with spare inner and outer lenses. Bought a 2 times magnifying lens. Great for old geezers like me.

Although cheapest on r tec site it works fine for me.

This is my first and only helmet and comments are from a beginner. Why make them go so dark?? On the lightest shade I struggle to see what I'm welding and quite often fall off the edge! According to Google this is quite usual and it is common to add lighting. Add lighting are we not generating enough of the bright stuff? I've added the magnifying lens to help a bit. As long as I remember to take it off "Grind" it switches quickly. Doesn't accommodate a dust mask with filters. Would have thought that's common as it doesn't appear to have an unusual shape

Occasional DIY use (mainly old cars/motorbikes). First auto-darkening helmet I've used, works very well and easy to use. (Also usefully, mine came with spare inside/outside shields.) Very pleased (as have been some fellow amateurs who have also seen it).

I have used my new welding helmet to help me complete my C&G level 1 MIG welding course. It's a great helmet! Ive recommended R-Tech to other "pupil's" on the course. Im about to start a C&G level 1 TIG course and will continue to promote how much I love the helmet. For the price the quality is superb. As thing's progress Im sure I'll be buying R-Tech equipment for my workshop. Ive only heard good report's about their customer service (which Ive experienced) and have heard excellent thing's specifically about their TIG set's. A friend has an AC/DC TIG set that he rave's over!
