28 August 2024Returned helmet was to heavy for me in the spaces I weld The helmet would suit welders , fabricators , grinders The quality was good the flip front was a good design impressed with the additions that come with the mask spare parts , view screens ,but it is a tad on the large side and is a wee bit heavy.

23 May 2024I have yet to use the mask for real as yet, it was straight forward to set up fortunately as some of the diagrams were rather small and might be better with coloured arrows. But not a big deal to be fair.

16 February 2024brilliant to use replaced my broken snap on helmet of which snap on wanted ?300 to repair this is a better helmet than the one it replaced and cheaper!! only downside with the helmet is its weight, its a heavy unit when flipped up out the way. but more than happy and will order another one for other staff when needed

20 July 2023I came to this as, with advancing years, I was struggling to see well enough to *** in a straight line with my "old" (six years) helmet. The tech has really come on lately... The true-colour thing is great (a proper "night and day" difference) and that, a ** screen, and the side windows mean I'm happy moving about with the helmet on when not ***ing. That's a novelty for anyone used to "old school" helmets. While many will want the "***, flip up, grind, flip down, *** again" for me its the comfort of the headband. Its also got a hinge bit at the very back that makes the on and off so much nicer. I also like it switching on and off with movement. It is heavier, noticible putting it on the first time but that was forgotten the first session. In time I hope to enjoy the ***/grind/*** but for now worth the premium just for bench work trying to build skills again.

19 July 2023I looked at the reviews on YouTube and ordered one as it was highly recommended and the 10% deal was on. I removed 4 layers of protective film from the various lenses and and tried the mask only to find it was similar to my Parweld mask which has that green tint. Then I found it had another layer of green protective film on the inside of the cartridge, which once removed lifted this mask into a different league altogether! This mask is very impressive with significantly improved initial and welding vision, my first few welds have been a pleasure and I should have invested in one years ago.

18 July 2023I am only a hobby engineer & use flux core wire welding as all my work has to be done outside but this mask has improved my welding by 100% as I can now see what I am doing clearly. All I could see through my 20 year old auto darkening mask was green glare so it was more guess work with it than anything else. I never get enough practice to envisage the weld path & speed of the run so this mask rely gets me on track. My only critisism (hence the 4 star rating) is that to adjust the ADF is rather awkward as you have to squeeze your finger between the welding mask & grinding mask while watching through the grindingmask at the partialy lifted welding mask to do any adjustements. I have slim fingers so it is ok but how a person with large hands would go on I don't know unless I am missing something of course. The mask is realy well made, finished brilliantly and comes with a good supply of spare lenses & a carry bag, a realy good buy.

01 July 2023As a user of cheap masks in the past this mask has absolutely transformed my welding experience. I now wonder how I ever managed to use my R-Tech tig at all. I?m sure it will last a long time as I?m only a hobby welder and keep it in the supplied bag when not in use. In summing up it?s testament to the old saying that you get what you pay for.

30 April 2023fantastic bit of kit solid and well made , love all the numbered adjustments on the headband , true colour adf is fantastic field of view is second to none , will have to spend 2-3 times this amount to get anywhere near as good , good aditional lenses in thge box , 1 ever so minor not so good , side blanks are fiddly to fit and the units not light but thats the trade off for being strudy and well built 10-10

21 April 2023It took a little getting used to coming from your typical auto darkening welding helmet as you can see so much more. Now I?m used to it, I?m really pleased with it. Has genuinely improved my welding for being able to see a lot more.

02 April 2023i make and repair motorcycle fuel tanks so i can be welding aluminium one day and tig brazing old steel the next ,i use two different settings on my screen due to the low power settings for brazing and i found the settings screen to be in an awkward place and only visible through the inside safety screen with the mask half closed , however due to the excellent clarity of the screen i've found a setting that works for both my needs so that shouldn't be a problem . i really like the extra visibility at the sides of the main screen a great feature compared to traditional welding helmets and the adjustability and fit are at another level , really comfy to wear and not too heavy . i've got a few friends who do a lot of welding and they've asked to borrow my helmet for comparison to the one they use , it was on their recommendtion i purchased my tig welder so hopefully they will purchase a new helmet because of my recommendation .

What are the benefits of True Colour ADF technology?
On standard ADF's, the shade filter unit (ADF) give a dark green/blue hue to the view.
True colour technology offers a more realistic viewing experience by allowing more light wavelengths through, giving you a more natural colour view.
You get a crystal clear view of the weld puddle, once you have used a True Colour mask, you won't want to go back to the standard mask. -
What does 1.1.1.1 clarity mean on my welding mask?
1.1.1.1 clarity is the highest level of clarity available, so no distortion in what you see through the ADF lens.
Some lesser quality ADF shader units can make the view blurry or out of focus. -

How long does an air-fed welding mask battery last?
The standard battery 5200mAH supplied with the R-Tech Spiritus Air-Pro will give 8+hrs on a full charge.
Charging time is about 2-3 hours.
One benefit of this mask is it allows on 'On machine charging' - So if you do forget to charge battery, you can plug charger unit it and carry on using mask.
We do have a higher capacity battery 6200mAH battery that will give 10+hrs run time. Part Number: RT-PAPR-55
We also keep our replacement battery costs at a sensible price, so you can purchase a spare battery if you weld for long hours and have 1 on charge. -
Why do I need an Air-Fed welding mask? Is it due to HSE law?
The HSE (Health & safety executive) advised that welding fumes can be cancerous.
Company's have to protect its workers using the following controls.

How often should I replace my air-fed welding mask filter?
The main air filter should be replaced after 180 hours of use for optimum protection.
If you are working in a very dusty enviroment, you may need to replace filter sooner.
The air blower assy automatically senses air flow pressure due to condition of filter and adjusts accordingly.
If the alarm buzzers sounds due to poor air flow, check filters and replace. -
